Security Training Vancouver

I’m Vali Majd, Owner/Director of JTFSecurity Group.

As I am often working behind the scenes of our various operations, I thought I would take this time to tell you a little bit about my self and how my company came to be.

I grew up in a challenging environment where I had to develop a keen sense of protection for others at a young age. This early experience eventually propelled me into the security industry, where I learned new skills from some fascinating individuals.

While at work, I found that as the demand for law enforcement was increasing, most companies lacked the skills and training required to have reliable guards who could perform hands-on operations without ending up in court or at the hospital.

In 2009, along with some of my colleagues, we established an educational body that offered crisis management and safety and security training to organizations such as the fire service, in-house security professionals, paramedics, law enforcement agencies, corporations, and small businesses. We thoroughly enjoy teaching these courses and training, alongside our planning and consulting teams.

In 2014, we continued the momentum and JTFSecurity was born after we added security services to our portfolio. The services reflect our operational proficiencies, and we offer static guards, highly trained protective teams, event specialists, loss prevention experts, and a concierge service.

Over the past couple of years, I have noticed that technology is changing the field of security very rapidly. While nothing can replace a quality guard, the advancement of robot guards and other related tech wizardry allows people to be more in charge of their security system. However, many individuals soon realize the amount of hard work and sacrifice that goes into running a security operation and call me up for help. I thoroughly enjoy calling the shots, but like most success stories, I would not be where I am if it were not for a team of dedicated professionals.

We are progressive on many fronts, as I like to delegate and take calculated risks because I trust my team. As a growing organization, we have achieved many operational successes for which I am very proud. However, I feel there is plenty of room for improvement to compete with the more prominent players.

What sets me apart from the others is the respect and consideration I show for my staff, patrons, and clients. We are often praised for being a highly conscientious security team. I also attribute my success to being a team player and possess the perseverance to come up with new strategies. I also believe that being flexible is vital to achieving work timelines. And, like I said, very early on I gained a diverse set of skills from key people in my life, and still do, and I draw upon these experiences daily.

When I am not at work, I love training and focus on martial arts. I also enjoy wrestling, extreme sailing, listening to crazy amounts of music, and running with my dog. I am always looking for an adventure and travel to discover new things in the world.

In Nepal, I have assisted anti-human trafficking organizations, by providing my expertise to help rescue children and adults from falling prey to the hands of human traffickers.

If you or someone you know could benefit from my expertise in security, in the Lower Mainland area or across Vancouver Island, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit our website at www.jtfcanada.com.

Sincerely,

Vali
